JPAW stands for J Post Apocalyptic World
JPAW is a post apocalyptic kitchen sink soft sci-fi somethingpunk universe with retro cassete tech, many sentient species inhabit the planes and planits of this universe.
JPAW is softer than many other sci-fi universes, so be prepaired for magic systems.
The main time settings for stories planned within this universe are from onwards
While mainly being sci-fi JPAW does have a magic system, which is a glyph based system. This glyph system is what allowed for the transfer of software from computer systems to reality, among other things.
In JPAW the magical glyph system allows for the creation of portals, allowing for gates to be created between major locations, but after the apocalyptic shift in reality occoured many portals have been broken, with interstellar freeways becoming much more favorable.
Sometimes portals occour naturally, leaving many who go into abandoned buildings finding themselves suddenly on the other side of the universe. While these portals can be usefull when known about they may close and leave those on the side they wish to not be on with a long treck of many months to years of traveling to get back.
There are many different species living within this universe, there are a few different types. Firstly there are those that contain none of the anomalous software, those that are completely composed of the software, and those that are composed of both the anomalous software and normal physical material.
Humans do not exist in a normal form in this world, with most having been modified beyond the base homo-sapien and outcompeted by the rest of the universe. (catgirls and other such beings such exist though)
The landscape in this usiverse is mostly composed of coniferous forested mountains, deep oceans, and non euclidian ruins of cities, planets and flat plains of land both exist, and the landscape may shift with little notice. The universe has many functional small cities scattered throught it, with a few larger ones still communicating with echother, re begining their expansion and trading networks.
The main stories will take place on a planet near the central system.
Before the apocolypse the universe was more or less united, with there being little major wars or battles being fought, but with the apocalypse the controll of many cities fell into the hands of groups of people or more commonly megacoorparations who had the supplies neccisarry to facilitate the growth of their cities, causing wars to become, while hidden from the general populace (badly, everyone knows whats happening), more frequent.
